How Many Dragons Can You Find in a Minute? 

Hundreds Grid Games in a Nutshell:

Baby dragons are hiding on a blank hundreds chart board. Use some logic and number strategies to see how many you can find in a minute. 

How to Play:

Press the RED ‘Play’ button below the timer on this 100’s Grid Game and you are off. Your task is to find as many fairies as you can hiding on the hundreds chart. Look to the number below the word ‘find’ for a major ‘hint’ as to where they are hiding 😉 Click on the board with your magic wand to reveal a fairy. How many fairies can you find in a minute?
 

This Numeration Game Aims to:

  • have students practice and develop Numeration Strategies in an enjoyable way
  • give students a rich context for Number Talks
  • develop Number Fluency in students
  • provide students with an enjoyable way to practice Numeration skills.

What You Need:

– 1 Electronic 100s Chart Game
– 1 or 2 students to play the game 

Possible Setups:

  • Project the game board onto your whiteboard as a whole class or tutorial group activity.
  • Set up the game on several desktop computers or laptops for paired small group work.
